Local Transport: Taxis, boda-bodas, and private safari vehicles are commonly used for city and nearby attractions.

There are two main hot springs -the Male Hot Spring (Bintente) and the Female Hot Spring (Nyasimbi). The female one is the most famous, with boiling water that shoots up to 2 meters high. Temperatures can reach over 100°C, hot enough to boil eggs and cook food, which visitors often try.

Cultural Significance

The hot springs hold traditional and spiritual meaning for the local Bamba people, who believe the female spring represents a woman spirit (Nyasimbi) and the male spring a man spirit (Bintente). Rituals and sacrifices were historically performed here.
