Rise early for a full day of exploration in the vast Masai Mara ecosystem, home to
one of the highest lion densities in the world. Morning and afternoon game drives
take you deep into the reserve in search of the Big Five, as well as cheetahs, hyenas,
hippos, and massive herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles—especially during the
migration season. Marvel at the drama that unfolds at Mara River, where crocodiles
and predators lie in wait. The sweeping plains, rich with wildlife and color, offer

After breakfast, you depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, a scenic drive through
the Rift Valley with changing landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch
and prepare for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is renowned for its
spectacular flamingo flocks that turn the lake’s shores pink. On your game drive,
look out for white and black rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, and elusive
leopards. The park is also home to waterbucks, impalas, hyenas, and various species
of monkeys. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge inside the park.

This morning, set off toward the south, heading for the spectacular Amboseli
National Park, arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. Located at the foot of Mount
Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is famous for its massive herds of free-roaming elephants and
postcard views of the mountain. After a short rest, enjoy an afternoon game drive
where you might spot lions, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, zebras, and giraffes moving
through the open plains with the towering Kilimanjaro in the background.

Spend the day immersed in the wild beauty of Amboseli, with morning and
afternoon game drives across the swamps and dry plains. The park offers some of

Kenya’s best elephant sightings, along with excellent opportunities to photograph
wildlife with Mount Kilimanjaro as a dramatic backdrop. Between drives, relax at
your lodge or enjoy a refreshing swim. In the evening, perhaps toast to your
adventure with views of the sun setting behind the mountain.

After breakfast, check out from your lodge and begin your drive back to Nairobi,
arriving in the early afternoon. Depending on your onward travel plans, you may
choose to explore the city or head directly to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport
for your flight home.
