7 Days Queen Kyambura Gorge Safari in Uganda

Tour Package Overview

This 7-day Queen Kyambura Gorge Safari gives you a practical western Uganda route built around primates and wildlife.

You start in Kibale Forest, one of East Africa’s strongest chimpanzee tracking destinations. You then continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park for Kyambura Gorge and the Kazinga Channel boat cruise before travelling to Bwindi for gorilla trekking.

The route works because the parks connect naturally.

You do not waste days jumping across the country. You move through western Uganda in a clear direction, with each stop adding something different: forest, wetland, savannah, gorge, and mountain rainforest.

Who is this trip for?

This 7-day Uganda safari is for you if you want chimpanzees, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kyambura Gorge, and gorilla trekking in Bwindi in one route.

You track chimpanzees in Kibale Forest, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park for Kyambura Gorge and the Kazinga Channel, then travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for mountain gorillas.

It is a full week. You cover a lot of ground.

If you want Murchison Falls, rhino tracking, Lake Mburo, or Jinja rafting, this is not the right route. Those belong in a longer Uganda safari package.

What will you see?

On this safari in Uganda, your route includes:

  • Kibale Forest National Park
  • Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale
  • Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary
  • Fort Portal and the Toro region, depending on timing
  • Queen Elizabeth National Park
  • Kyambura Gorge
  • Kazinga Channel boat cruise
  • Ishasha sector, depending on routing and timing
  • Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
  • Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
  • Optional Batwa or local community visit near Bwindi

This is one of the stronger uganda tour packages if you want both chimpanzees and gorillas in one week.

Typical price range

Typical range: from 2,950-4,800 per person sharing.

Your final price depends on your travel dates, lodge category, group size, gorilla permit availability, chimpanzee permit availability, Kyambura activity availability, park fees, and room type.

Send your dates, number of travellers, and preferred lodge level: budget, mid-range, or luxury. That gives you a more accurate quote.
